Short Story : Ashok Mandal, a righteous and brave police officer is run over by a car one day on his way to court, where he's about to testify against Chitra Mashi, a renowned criminal. This is the second attempt at killing him. The Kolkata Police starts the investigation and suspects Sandhya's boyfriend as Ashok compelled her to break up with him. They also find out that Chitra Mashi and Rana had threatened Ashok in the past to not testify against them. In the meanwhile, the police finds out about Ashok leading a smuggling case in the past where he killed the smuggler in an encounter. To alleviate his guilt, he financially helps the smuggler's son Debojit. Debojit on finding out the truth about Ashok decides to avenge his father's death and kidnaps Sandhya. While looking for Sandhya, the police finds out the real culprit, a female police officer who had been around all along, who fell in love with Ashok and had an extra-marital affair with him but when things got serious, Ashok refused to leave his family for her. She decided to take revenge and convinces the doctor to kill Ashok the first time but it fails.
