The new HiLux continues on the same platform as before (not the TNGA platform), and it's available with a mild-hybrid 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder. This is the entry level WorkMate variant which doesn't get the mild-hybrid tech. But it does offer excellent off-road capability thanks to high clearances and an advanced traction control system even in low range.
