For the first time in his storied career, nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi set foot and tires on the asphalt of the mandalika Circuit. Stepping out of the pit lane, Rossi turned heads by riding a brand-new Yamaha R1 GYTR featuring his iconic VR46 colour. Complementing the bike was a fresh, custom-designed racing suit specifically tailored for this milestone visit. While his professional days in MotoGP are behind him, the sight of Rossi leaning into Mandalika’s sweeping curves proved that his masterclass technique remains as sharp as ever. Rossi wasn't alone on this mission. He was joined by the elite members of the VR46 Riders Academy, including current MotoGP stars like Francesco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi, and Luca Marini. The group visited Lombok to fulfill an annual training agenda organized by Pertamina Enduro, the title sponsor of Rossi's racing team. The event, titled Pertamina Enduro VR46 Riders Academy in Mandalika," serves as a high-performance training ground for the academy's riders to sharpen their skills ahead of the official MotoGP pre-season tests. Beyond their private practice, the program also included coaching sessions for ten talented young Indonesian racers, offering them a rare opportunity to learn directly from the greatest of all time.
