The primary objective of this initiative is to ensure the safety of Delhi residents during future floods and rainfall events, as well as to enhance water management systems. Under this plan, a strategy has been devised to divert excess water from the Yamuna River. Six key locations within the flood plain area have been identified where large-scale facilities for water control and storage will be established.
