Linx - Intuition • Toppop

Linx were a British soul‑/Brit‑funk band formed in 1980. The original line‑up featured David Grant (lead vocals), Peter ‘Sketch’ Martin (bass), Bob Carter (keyboards), Andy Duncan (drums) and Canute Edwards (guitar), with Junior Giscombe on backing vocals. Their biggest hit, “Intuition” (1981), reached #7 on the UK Singles Chart and it also charted at #69 in Australia. Other notable UK hits included “You’re Lying” (#15), “Throw Away the Key” (#21) and “So This Is Romance” (#15). After Linx disbanded in 1983, Grant launched a solo career and later teamed up with Jaki Graham. Their 1985 cover of The Spinners’ “Could It Be I'm Falling in Love” peaked at #5 on the UK Singles Chart. This performance was recorded by the TROS TV program Starclub on May 18, 1981.
