Her neck is swollen with hard masses, and she’s now panting heavily in her sleep. Our veterinarian suspects Lymphoma, and more tumors have already been found on her abdomen and leg. Our hearts are breaking watching this unfold, and we need urgent help to get answers and keep our precious girl comfortable. Will you support our senior sweetheart during this difficult time? Luna has been part of our rescue family since 2018. After her owner could no longer afford her care, this sweetheart spent years in a loving home within our rescue. But now, a medical crisis is threatening Luna’s comfort in her golden years. Recently, Luna’s energy dropped, and within days, the swelling appeared around her neck. Our team felt around the swelling, and were shocked to discover multiple hard tumors just under the surface. We’ve already taken Luna to the veterinarian. They started her on pain and anti-inflammatory medications while we await the results of her biopsy. Our team is diligently monitoring Luna’s condition as we prepare for what comes next. So far, we’ve started to notice odd symptoms, like Luna panting in her sleep. We may not have all the answers yet, but Luna’s condition is deeply concerning, and we are doing everything we can to keep our sweet girl comfortable. If this turns out to be Lymphoma, it means that Luna is fighting a cancer that’s affecting her lymph nodes and rapidly spreading through her body. At her age, chemotherapy isn’t an option. As much as that breaks our hearts, Luna’s comfort and health in her senior years is our top priority. Hospice care may be the only path forward. Luna is already facing daily discomfort. Her severe arthritis and curved spine, now combined with her developing health crisis, are putting her quality of life in jeopardy. When we committed to Luna’s rescue, we knew we were in it for the long haul. We are sticking by Luna’s side no matter what, and we will fight to ensure she knows peace in her golden years. Our goal is to raise $1,200 to cover her diagnostics and ongoing care. But right now, multiple medical cases and limited resources are restricting how much we can help sweet Luna.
